This video guides users through the Elevation and Site Plan section of SignPilot's mobile app for site surveys. In this example we are doing an outdoor channel letter sign. It covers measuring storefront dimensions, documenting sign bands, electrical safety considerations, and capturing comprehensive photos. The process emphasizes flexibility in section completion order, saving progress regularly, and concluding with a final report submission. The video highlights the importance of thorough documentation, especially for designers, and explains how to access and update completed surveys when needed.
Key items for completing the Elevation and Site Plan section in SignPilot:
Open the Elevation and Site Plan section
Measure storefront dimensions (height, width)
Measure and document sign band details
Measure linear frontage, windows, and doors
Check for electrical safety concerns
Take comprehensive photos (front of sign, street view, both sides of building, etc.)
Record video walkthrough
Create to-do punch list and add summary notes
Save the section and complete the survey
Note: Sections can be completed in any order, and partial surveys are acceptable. Always save each section before moving to the next.
